About
What this is, who's behind it, and why you can trust it.
Recovery Notes is an independent UK site reviewing the equipment, tech and supplements marketed as recovery and longevity tools. We test what's worth your money — and write plainly when something isn't.
Who runs it
Founded by Jermaine Jenas — former Premier League footballer (Newcastle, Spurs, England) and now a builder in his second career. He's lived inside elite sports recovery for fifteen years and has the scar tissue, the knee surgeries and the opinions to prove it. He's not a doctor. He'll tell you when something is outside his lane.
How we make money
When you click a link to a brand we've reviewed and buy something, we get a small commission. It doesn't change what we recommend. We've turned down brands that wanted to pay for placement.
We don't run banner ads, we don't sell newsletters to sponsors, and we don't run paid "expert opinion" pieces. The only thing keeping the site honest is that people stop reading reviews that lie to them — and we'd rather be small and honest than big and worthless.
What we won't accept
- Affiliate deals with brands whose products we wouldn't put in our own home.
- "Top 10" lists where the order is dictated by commission percentage.
- Studies sponsored by the company whose product is being studied.
Get in touch
Brand owners — if you'd like a fair review and you make a product we'd consider recommending, get in touch. We don't promise positive coverage but we promise we'll be honest with you about what we find.
